This is very exciting. Today I stopped by the shop to visit the car and drop off the molding trim for the vinyl top. I got to take a look at the car. It's beautiful! Painting is complete. Next steps are to buff it out and reinstall the bumper and valance.
Later today the car goes to the upholstery shop to have the vinyl top installed. Top is double-seemed, black color and like from the factory, does not include any padding beneath the vinyl. I've spent my evenings cleaning up the chrome molding. What a great idea it was to save every piece I could when I stripped the car down 4 years ago. This stuff is very expensive to replace new.
